For years “We the People” have been waiting for someone with enough courage to stand up to the status quo and say enough already.

“Hello America.”  I am Thomas J. Miller, a 45 year old single dad with a high school diploma. I have been a career flight attendant for over 20+ years.  Everyday I directly see how individuals, businesses and states are being affected by our government.

I have decided to stand up and be the public servant (not the politician) we’ve been waiting for. To prove my commitment, I have been officially registered with the Federal Election Commission as; Candidate (Rep.): President of the United States 2012. My principle campaign committee “Reduce Government Miller for President” has also been registered. I have signed and filed the required financial disclosure forms personally without the help of a party machine or a special interest. 

I have no prior political experience and our leaders have proven that none is required. They are working with thousand page legislation that nobody even reads (verify here). The President has a staff of over 3,000 people attending to every possible detail, thereby creating “ The Office of the President.” What is missing from Washington is somebody that not only understands the will of the people, but has the shoulders and the faith to deliver it without adding bureaucratic complications.

I will create my Cabinet with dedicated, hard working Americans who understand our America. In this time of historic crisis, I’m done talking the talk. Career politicians have put my Country on the edge of financial bankruptcy and I’m not going to let that happen without at least stepping up to the plate myself. The one true position to make a difference is the Presidency and my determination and skill sets have brought me this far. My Constitution allows me this opportunity and I am one American that is now walking the walk.

We always hear stories of politicians coming from humble beginnings to climb their way to the top 1% of America. I am offering to be a public servant, not a career politician. I take pride in where I came from and where I'm at because the rewards from the American middle class are second to none. I have stayed at my career for over 20+ years by choice. By actually being a blue collar citizen today, not 40 years ago, I have the connection that has been missing from Washington for generations. 

I am the youngest of six kids, dad was a decorated WWII Marine, then an accountant, mom was a home maker. When you combine my upbringing with my resume' , I have the discipline and the backbone to stand up and make the common sense decisions that include the original recipe . I believe I have what it takes to be an effective President because I will make the tough, unpopular (but necessary) decisions others have not been willing to make. Unlike career politicians, I get the big picture and my loyalty lies with the people, not a party. There is no free lunch and we are not playing with Monopoly@ money. I will trust private American ingenuity to solve many of the problems we are facing today and I am dedicated to giving America back to the people.
